Here are some scenes around Amherst.
My neighbor has a picnic table set up by their garden, so that when they eat outside on a hot summer night they can gaze upon the source, or future source, of their nightly serving of vegetables.
Among the things they are growing is eggplant. At least I think it's eggplant, a city-slicker like me can't be too sure.
Some of the little "cherry tomatoes" are already a bright red!
They are also growing corn, and have already harvested some ears.
This is also balloon season, as evidenced by the UMass weather balloon hovering over the Amherst Big Y Supermarket.
Here a rainbow balloon drifts over Rafter's bar.
In Amherst they drive funny cars, as evidenced by this oddly painted vehicle in the Big Y parking lot.
I wonder how such paint jobs affect the re-sale value? Or maybe you only paint cars like that when it is obvious you are the last owner before the junkyard.

I don't think those are eggplant. Looks like plum tomatoes.
