Dennys has a "No Gun Policy everywhere as far as I know. I do not and will not go to Dennys, period. I haven't since I saw the "No Weapons sign" in the window years ago.
What this essentially does is create a "Killing Zone" for anyone with the mindset to do so. It makes sure no one there can defend themselves or others while at Dennys.
But in light of the "Killing Field" at the Newtown Ct elementary school, this should make people realize that a little tin sign will not stop someone intent on Murder & Mayhem. For Gods sake, allow us the right to defend ourselves. At least allow us responsible licensed persons that "Constitutional Right". Everyone should be demanding an Armed Officer on duty as long as children are present. It is "Unstable people" killing us, not Guns. Guns are simply weapons. Just like Bombs, Clubs, Hammers and Molotive cocktails.
Yes, the "Government is here to help you by Taking away your right to take care of yourself in an emergency by not allowing us to own a weapon.
If you think the "Government taking care of us is the answer, You are a large part of the problems America faces today! This thinking is just wrong. Without "Self-defense", the cops just have an investigation to do. A body recovery, not save lives, because the damage is already done. You my friend are already dead, or critically wounded.
Some will "Love Dennys" and patronize them for foolishly taking this stand. It is NOT a stand against violence. It is nothing more than a "Knee-Jerk reaction, without the knee. Those who feel this way are prime candidates for Communism. Unfortunately there are several things in short supply in these United States. Decency, Common Sense, Pride, Dignity and responsibility for oneself, not necessarily in that order.
I'm sure you can think of many more.
