Calm

Not much happening on campus these days.

UMass is a calm scene of serenity with the students away on their winter break.

Good night, UMass. Soon sleepy Amherst will be startled awake when the students come roaring back in two weeks.

Even I'm not so paranoid that I'm willing to buy into this theory that the Republican Party establishment consciously conspired to deny libertarian Ron Paul the Republican nomination last year. Still, it certainly appears to be a book worth reading:

In a provocative book released this week, author Michael S. Alford makes a powerful case that the GOP establishment stole the Republican nomination from Congressman Ron Paul. The book is titled, Swindled: How the GOP Cheated Ron Paul and Lost Themselves the Election. Alford presents compelling evidence gathered from firsthand testimonials, video evidence, and news reports from the 2012 caucuses and primaries that he believes points to a conspiracy by the GOP establishment to take votes away from Dr. Paul and give them to other candidates. Alford believes that if not for this conspiracy, Congressman Paul would have won the Republican nomination.

I saw Santana open for Eric Clapton at the Spfld. Civic Center in 75.' Back then, you don't want Santana opening for you. Clapton did fine, but they're a tough act to follow. Yeah, Santana, like 8,000 people doing the samba. Unreal.

Ron Paul is the biggest douchenozzle. He represents the Alex Jones/Stormfront/Truther/anti-Semite branch of the GOP.

Oh yes, and he voted for broad executive powers to invade Afghanistan and anywhere else the president pleases. Don't let that lying sack of shit tell you otherwise.

I agree the 70's Santana was best. Then he got religious and sort of mellowed.
