A painting of George Washington arriving at Court Square in Springfield, Massachusetts in 1789.
Last week was the New Hampshire primary, where President Trump won the Republican contest against former Massachusetts Governor William Weld by a landslide margin. I've always liked Weld, who was probably the best of the modern Republican governors, but it is ridiculous to think that anyone other than Donald J. Trump will be the Republican nominee.
Meanwhile, the Democrat Party primary was highly indecisive.
Not surprisingly, the nightmare candidacy of Deval Patrick and the underrated Mike Bennett both ended their efforts after their minuscule vote totals. Here are my one sentence reviews of the remaining contenders:
Bernie Sanders - The most dangerous politician in America.
Pete Buttigieg - Cute, but no substance.
Amy Klobuchar - The liberals will block her for the top spot, but a possible veep contender.
Elizabeth Warren - The second most dangerous politician in America.
Joe Biden - The Jeb Bush of 2020.
Michael Bloomberg - Only a serious contender because of his billions.
Tom Steyer - Not a serious contender despite his billions.
Tulsi Gabbard - The only Democrat contender with a real chance to win in November, but they won't nominate her.
Meanwhile, here I am in the psychedelic section of Shop Therapy in Northampton. It is interesting how seldom we are photographed inside of stores, considering how much time we spend in them.

When was the last time you were in the Newman Center at UMass? Here is a view of their cafeteria.
