Delivery
Someone very nicely chalked a peace sign on the woodland way into downtown Northampton.
When I got downtown I saw that a peace protest was underway, with signs reading, "War is Stupid."
Oh, was it stupid to go to war to abolish slavery? Was it stupid to go to war against Hitler? Was it stupid to fight wars to end communism? These peacers are always very nice people, they just haven't thought their pacifist philosophy through to its logical conclusion. Anyway, it was still nice to see people participating in the political process, even while practicing anti-social distancing.
From Hamp I headed across the river to deliver something to a UMass professor.
I was truly the Big Man on Campus, but only because I appeared to be the ONLY man on campus!
Of course there were faculty and other workers here and there, sprinkled throughout the now cavernously empty campus buildings. The place actually seems a bit sad with no one in sight on passageways that would normally be packed with swarms of students.
The ducks have finally taken over the place at last, sleeping openly on the lawn, having no fear of their slumber being disturbed by any humans.
Like a lot of humans, I've been doing a lot more reading lately. Presently I'm reading the autobiography of Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna guitarist Jorma Kaukonen.
I actually paid a little extra to get a copy that was signed by the old guitar wizard himself.
When I finish reading it in a day or two, I will write a review telling you what I think of it. In the meantime, grok to this.
