New Newman

Climate cultists disrupted a speech by south valley Congressman Richard Neal on Monday.

Read all about it here.

This is the old Newman Center at UMass, which has been standing vacant for months. The property is now owned by the university.

They will probably tear it down and build something new on the site. I hate to see the old place go because architecturally it reminds me of the church structures I was familiar with in my youth. Here is the new, more modern looking Newman Center located just across the street.

It is truly beautiful inside

The best part of the old Newman Center was its basement cafeteria, which had the cheapest prices on campus. The new one also has a cafeteria, but it is smaller than the old one. Thankfully, they kept the same menu.

There are religious pamphlets on offer.

Some of the literature discusses controversial subjects.

The Catholics fit right in on a campus that often delves into controversial issues, not all of which need to be taken too seriously.

The other night I was at the Iconica Cafe.

Electric Eye Records in the Florence Section of Northampton is a real chill-town scene.
