January Potpourri

Not much happening on the streets of Northampton.

Can the corn.

 Sunrise down the alleyway.

UMass is snowy and sleepy today, but the soon to start spring semester will bring Amherst roaring back to life.

In the meantime, Amherst is busy tearing up the part of the town common directly across from Townhall.

I hope they don't ruin it.  Here's a Springfield flashback.

That is Silvio Conte, Charlie Ryan, Eddie Boland and Ted Kennedy in 1965. photo by mildred dunbar.

I was surprised to stumble upon this actual bumper-sticker for Marianne Williamson, the New Age author running for President as a Democrat.

I suppose she would be better than Joe Biden, but that's a low bar. Williamson has written 14 books, seven of which have appeared on the New York Times bestseller list, with four reaching number one. In total she has sold more than three million books. The question is whether she is seriously running for President on her peace and love platform, or just trying to sell more books.

I suspect that Boston bad-boy Marky-Mark does not intend to vote for Ms. Williamson.
