Closed

A woodpecker has been busy by my house.

Portrait of the Sun upon the sunny woodland way into downtown Northampton.

However, once you get downtown nearly everything is closed!

Nothing happening on Main Street, it used to be the heart of town.

Even the beloved Haymarket is shuttered.

Don't even think of heading to the pot shop unless you have a medical ID. What the fuck is up with that?

Someone has been posting these all over downtown. They are divisive and unhelpful during these times when we need to co-operate. How about landlords and tenants working together to find a solution that works for both?

Yet despite the dreary economic deadzone, there are signs of life. Someone stuck a flag in front of Silent Cal.

While many businesses are dying, it looks like a new gamer and comix place wants to open up in the old Tim's Books spot on King Street.

It says it is coming soon. Hope springs eternal, and I hope better days are coming soon for us all.

Where I had lunch this week.
