The first dusting of the year on my back steps.
A look out the window from the UMass Student Union.
There is an interesting display you should check out at the UMass Library.
It is about Daniel Ellsberg, who in the early 1970's leaked documents showing that the government had lied to the American public about the origins of the Vietnam War.
It features many interesting artifacts from that era.
It also explores how Ellsberg was an inspiration to later leakers like Edward Snowden, who in 2013 leaked government documents showing that the U.S. government was illegally spying on American citizens.
You can check out the free exhibit any time that the library is open.
In Amherst the other day I stumbled upon this sticker on someone's parked car.
Where the hell is that? The only beach I know of in the Pine Point section of Springfield is at Five Mile Pond and Lake Lorraine.
Someone thinks Northampton has too many marijuana shops.
The correct number of pot shops should be determined by the marketplace. If all the Northampton market can support is 12 shops, then a thirteenth shop opening will force one of them to go out of business, generally the one with the worst products and the highest prices. In questions of economics, it is always best to let the market dictate.
Valley Advocate - 1994. As far as I know, the Lonesome Brothers are the only ones still rocking.

Noho always had this large pot market. Instead of having to go your local dealer who lives in his parents basement, you just go to the corner store.
